Hello Meadows Community! I think we can all agree that a clean, welcoming community depends on everyone doing their part. Unfortunately, ongoing trash and recycling violations have created sanitation concerns and placed a significant financial burden on our community. Additionally, resources have been diverted from other community needs as our staff must collect improperly discarded trash and recycling daily.
When approving our 2027 budget, the impact of ongoing trash violations directly led to the following increases:
- Rodent treatment: $6,000 to $20,000 due to improper trash disposal.
- Trash collection: $105,000 to $185,400 due to early disposal, torn bags, scattered debris, and trash outside designated areas.
- Bulk trash: $28,000 to $40,000 due to unscheduled pick-ups.
Be part of the solution and follow our collection schedule:
- Monday pickup: Place trash out after 5 PM Sunday.
- Thursday pickup: Place trash out after 5 PM Wednesday.
- Bulk trash: Thursdays ONLY; place out after 5 PM Wednesday.
These violations have cost our community an additional $106,400. These are funds that could have been used to make improvements throughout the community instead of treating an issue that is easily avoidable.
Please do your part to keep our neighborhood clean and affordable by following the rules regarding trash and continually properly reporting those who violate them to the management office.
